gold and silversmithing

“I admire the new tech world and what this industry has evolved in; however i crave to stay in the true authentic form of goldsmithing by keeping it traditional with old world techniques just as my mentor has guided me. lets be honest i never began making jewellery this way, i learned it only years ago under his wings, and i vowed i would keep his legacy going and one day if the opportunity arises i would share my knowledge to someone that can appreciate the value in hand made. although these traditions are not lost, they are fading and i would like to keep them alive by passing them on”

inspired honey

that time bilic decided to make me a ring

it was seven years ago, I tossed around some new ideas and creating silver beads was new to me, but I gave it a swanky try. this was when my shop was in an old barn, I shared space with raccoons, rats, bats and bilic with his dirty mechanical seal days. we worked side by side in this dingy cold barn, he watched and gave me pointers. I created. then he surprised me one day with this ring made of domed copper halves forming a bead and outlined it with silver rods. one may think he inspires me, clearly I inspired him

clever, cool and original. I would refrain from recreating it, but he might if you asked sweetly :)
